Latest publication
My latest novella - Son of the Furrows - is a contemporary tale with a pinch of the supernatural.
Lucy’s urban life is interrupted by a fox that lures her into her garden before vanishing. In its place is an iron key. The key’s mysterious label leads her to a remote Scottish island, where she meets Farlan, a psychiatrist who’s turned his back on his medical practice to run a retreat for lost souls to heal. Farlan invites Lucy to stay.
But Lucy doesn’t need healing. Or does she?
And what is the connection between Farlan and the vanishing fox?

A bit about me
I’ve always loved writing stories.
In my first novels, the Tales of a Modern Woman trilogy, I uncover the motivations and actions of a young woman searching for her place in the world. My romantic novella - Walking Back Toward Myself - tells the story of Christina, who rediscovers her true self when her job, home and marriage crumble beneath her.
Crumbs from the Bread of Life is a varied collection of short stories and poetry and begins with a tongue in cheek poem about my first crush, called "In Bed with David Essex".
I wrote my first play in 2016. The Sisterhood Illusion is for three actors and throws the spotlight on how women both support and use each other in the guise of friendship.
In Search Of My Perfect Life was my next publication - a novel about a modern woman born with an expectation of equality.
My novella Like Father, Like Son is a romantic intrigue and explores the effect of Cupid playing tricks on people who are already hiding secrets from their partners.
My third novella, The Secret of Contentment, was published in 2021 and explores the reverberations and revelations that ripple into many people's lives when a secret is uncovered.
In a step away from my usual themes, Son of the Furrows is a novella with a supernatural twist.
I've two projects on the go in 2025. A novel entitled The Shadow of My Father is one I've chosen to divert toward the traditional publishing route, so I'm busy engaging with agents and publishers to find the best home for it. Even Beautiful People Have Flaws is my latest novel and there's a murder to solve at its heart. I plan to publish it later in 2025.
When I'm not writing, I love visiting the theatre, gardening, visiting art museums, cooking and eating good food. I have moved to Norfolk where I live with my husband and a constant stream of friends and family, all eager to share in our new country life. It feels like there's a novel to be written about the intrigues of an English village...
